DO YOU HAVE
A KEYBOARD PROBLEM?

Are you a Wacom Cintiq Interactive Pen Display user?

Is your desk space is limited? Does the size of your Cintiq tablet dictate where you can place your keyboard for easy access? Do you struggle with your keyboard when you use your Cintiq in the lowered natural drawing position? Is your work flow heavily dependent on key binds and macros? Is your productivity negatively impacted every time you twist, turn, bend and stretch to access your keyboard?

Are you are looking for a better way to integrate your keyboard back into your creative work flow?

THE CINTWEAK
A KEYBOARD TRAY SOLUTION

TWIST AND TURN LESS - DO MORE

The CinTweak keyboard trays bring your keyboard back into your Cintiq work space while eliminating the need to twist, turn, lift, bend or stretch to access the keyboard. This positioning allows your keying hand to travel from the Cintiq hardware buttons to your keyboard with minimal effort while you work.

CinTweak Keyboard Trays allow you to maintain your focus on your drawing area, minimizing much of the unnecessary ocular, head, and upper body adjustments needed when shifting between the tablet work area and traditional keyboard placements, whether off to the side, below or under the desk.

INTEGRATE YOUR KEYBOARD BACK INTO YOUR WORK ZONE

CinTweak keyboard trays integrate your keyboard into your visual work zone elegantly and travel with your tablet as it is repositioned. Your Keyboard will neither infringe upon the drawing area nor interfere with your preferred tablet angle when you work.

The Cintiq keyboard trays are designed to enhance your comfort level, minimize the distance your hand needs to travel to hot key, and improve your work flow.

The positioning feels like a natural extension of your tablet's work surface.

The Cintiq keyboard trays are easy to install, sturdy, and safe for use with your tablet.

OPTIMIZE YOUR WORK FLOW - IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY

CinTweak keyboard trays are a simple, elegant solution to a vexing keyboard positioning issue. By having your keyboard at the top of the Cintiq display area, your eyes more easily shift between your keyboard and your work with minimal refocusing and visual depth change, and your keying hand travels a much shorter distance to access hot keys and macros, reducing back, neck, and shoulder strain.

Maintaining better focus by staying in your work zone, and improving your comfort level by reducing the amount of twisting and turning needed to access your key binds and macros will do wonders for your productivity.

If you are struggling with accessing your keyboard, why not Integrate it back into your work space and experience a better work flow.

DESIGNED FOR LEFT AND RIGHT HANDERS

CinTweak keyboard trays for Wacom Cintiq 27qHD tablets can be positioned left, right, or center to accommodate your preferred keying hand. With one hand dedicated to the stylus, this means you wont have to cross over your work area to access your keyboard.

CinTweak keyboard trays for Wacom Cintiq 24HD tablets can be positioned anywhere along the top of the display.

CinTweak keyboard trays for Wacom Cintiq 21UX and 22HD tablets are limited to central positioning to allow access to the tablet's power button.

Since you can attach multiple keyboards to your system, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Place one keyboard on an under desk drawer for extended keying sessions, and one on your CinTweak keyboard tray for easy access to all of your key binds and macros when working.

CinTweak keyboard trays are available for each of the Wacom Cintiq interactive pen displays in two variants.

If your keyboard is 13 inches or longer, you will want to purchase the Model-X CinTweak keyboard tray.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WILL I EXPERIENCE AN IMPROVEMENT IN
MY COMFORT AND WORK FLOW?

No solution is perfect for every person.

I designed the CinTweak Keyboard Tray solution for myself first. I am a pretty demanding individual when it comes to ergonomics. I use my Cintiq tablet consistently throughout the work day for long stretches at a time with a number of Autodesk and Adobe applications.

If this solution didn't meet my expectations of enhanced comfort and improved productivity, I would not be using it and I certainly would not be selling it.

The CinTweak Keyboard Trays are a solid solution to a keyboard challenge that I and many others are experiencing with the large footprint of the Cintiq Interactive Displays.

Can the CinTweak Keyboard Tray enhance your comfort level and improve your productivity?

It certainly enhanced and improved mine.

DOES THE TRAY HAVE TO SIT CENTERED?
CAN I MOVE IT TO MY KEYING HAND SIDE?

If you use a Cintiq 27qHD, you have the option to position your CinTweak left, right or centered along the top edge of your tablet.

If you use a Cintiq 24HD, you have the option to position your CinTweak anywhere along the top edge of your tablet.
If you use the 21UX or the 22HD, you are limited to central positioning of the CinTweak Keyboard Tray so that you can still access the tablet's power button.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO ADJUST
TO THE NEW KEYBOARD PLACEMENT?

It depends on your work flow.
It took me about a week to get out of my habit of twisting and turning to access my keyboard on the side of my tablet.
But I noticed every time I turned to that old spot, just how much stress I was inducing and how disruptive it was to my work flow.

Since you have been using a non-optimal keyboard placement for quite some time, your muscles have been conditioned to move your arm to that spot to key. You are going to need a few days to retrain them.

CAN I USE MORE THAN ONE KEYBOARD
WITH MY SYSTEM?

Yes. In fact, that is the most efficient setup. Place one on your tray for easy access to your key binds and macros while you work directly in the drawing zone at flatter angles.

Place a second keyboard in a more traditional position (under the tablet, to the side, or in an under-desk drawer) to access when you keystroke heavily and are not working directly in the drawing zone.

I DON'T USE THE STAND THAT CAME WITH
MY WACOM TABLET.

WILL THE CINTWEAK TRAY WORK WITH A
VESA MOUNT MONITOR ARM?

CinTweak Keyboard Trays will not interfere with the VESA mount area used for your monitor arm. You will experience all of the benefits of the Keyboard tray whether you use the Cintiq Stand or an after market monitor arm.

WON'T MY ARM GET TIRED REACHING
UP TO KEYSTROKE?

That depends on how you work.

Your hand travels a much shorter distance (6-8 inches) from the Cintiq programmable keys to the CinTweak Keyboard Tray than it would if you had your keyboard on the side of your display.

Shoulder rotation is also reduced and oblique rotation is minimized, unlike when accessing your keyboard on the side of your display.

When I work, my non-drawing hand is resting on the side of the tablet and accessing the Cintiq programmable keys.
As I need to keystroke, my hand travels to the keyboard and then back to the resting position.

My touch dependency to blind key stroking has been eliminated by having the keyboard positioned back into my visual work space.

If you hot key heavily and can't see your keyboard as you work, you have become conditioned to keep your hand on the keyboard at all times.

This dependency on touch results from not being able to see what you are keying as you work, so you keep your hand on your keyboard to avoid having to reorient each time to minimize miss clicks.

But you are not keystroking 100% of the time even if your hand is on the keyboard.

If you could see your keyboard without having to turn your focus away from your work zone, there would be no need to ride that keyboard continuously to avoid keying mistakes and you could work with your keying arm in a more comfortable resting position.

WON'T MY ARM BLOCK MY DRAWING AREA
WHEN I REACH UP TO ACCESS MY KEYBOARD?

Not unless your arm sprouts from the center of your chest. Your arms pivot from your shoulders and the interference to your drawing area when reaching to hot key is minimal.

I HAVE MY HAND ON MY KEYBOARD AT ALL TIMES.
IS THIS SOLUTION RIGHT FOR ME?

While you can position the keyboard tray towards the left or right side of your display to minimize the distance your hand travels from the Cintiq's programmable buttons, if your keying hand is humping your keyboard non-stop all day long, and you just can't work any other way, this is not the solution you are looking for.

However, if you use your Cintiq tablet at a flatter angle off the edge of your desk while riding your keyboard, it is likely that you would find the CinTweak Keyboard Tray far more comfortable than having your keyboard on the side or on your lap. Ultimately, you know your work flow and your comfort level best.

What works for everyone else may not necessarily work for you - one of the annoying side effects of being unique & special snowflakes.

WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE IT. CAN I RETURN IT?

I am confident that you will benefit from the improved work flow of having better access to you key binds and macros.

If after a month of use, you have not experienced an improvement in comfort and work flow, send it back undamaged for a refund of the purchase price.

You will be responsible for shipping costs.

WILL MY KEYBOARD WORK WITH
THE CINTWEAK TRAY?

The new CinTweak keyboard tray requires that the back of your keyboard be relatively flat for best adhesion with the Velcro.

If you are not sure whether your current keyboard will fit the Cintiq keyboard tray you are ordering, or you are planning on purchasing a new keyboard, please visit the Keyboard Compatibility Guide at the bottom of the 27qHD, 24HD, 22HD, or 21UX pages for proper fit guidelines for your keyboard.

If you are still unsure if your keyboard will work, please contact me with the make and model and I will take a look at it and let you know.

WILL THE TRAY SCRATCH MY
CINTIQ DRAWING SURFACE?

No. All Cintiq keyboard trays have a synthetic felt backing that cushions the tray against your Cintiq tablet.
The acrylic tray should never come in contact with your Cintiq directly if installed properly.

DO YOU MAKE THE TRAY IN COLORS
OTHER THAN BLACK?

No. I assume the last thing you would want is a bright colored strip of acrylic at the top edge of your display to distract your eyes and potentially affect your color perception as you work.

You may want to consider sticking with a black keyboard as well. Having your keyboard as unobtrusive as possible will reduce any chance of skewing your color perception.

While there are a large number of black keyboards available for PCs, Mac users are not quite so lucky.

If you use an Apple keyboard that is white, you can get Keyboard skins from an outfit called Kb-covers to reduce the impact a bright white keyboard would have on your color perception as you work.

I DON'T WANT TO ATTACH VELCRO PADS
TO THE BACK OF MY KEYBOARD OR THE BACK
OF MY CINTIQ Tablet.

CAN I STILL USE THE TRAY?

Absolutely Not.

If you don't plan to use the supplied Velcro tethers to secure your keyboard tray to your Cintiq tablet, and your keyboard to the CinTweak tray, please do not order this product.

I would prefer to hear that you love the tray and it works great as opposed to hearing that you drowned in a pool of your tears when your keyboard fell and scratched your drawing surface because you chose not to follow the proper installation and use guidelines.
